Expanding Horizons: Stateside Q&A with Rachel Aeschliman, 10 Group NY

As an independent business, with the liberty to open up in exciting new lands, we are celebrating this year’s US Independence Day (on UK election day!) with the appointment of our 10 Group NY Head, Rachel Aeschliman who is taking us Stateside.

As former VP of Client Services at The Economist and brand strategist at Discovery Channel, Rachel will be leading our US client portfolio from our Brooklyn office and working with our team of strategists, creatives and producers from East to West Coast. To welcome Rachel, we kicked off with a Q&A to dive into her vision, the creative edge that US clients crave, and the growing influence of female entrepreneurship in the US market. Stay tuned for insights and inspiration as we embark on this exciting journey!

Rachel Aeschliman, Head of Business Development, USA

How does the US market compare to Europe, and what edge does The 10 Group bring?

Rachel: The US market is highly dynamic and competitive, with a strong emphasis on digital innovation and consumer engagement. But European creativity and innovation can undoubtedly offer a refreshing perspective in the US. With its European roots, The 10 Group brings a unique blend of creative excellence, in-depth storytelling and strategic thinking that can differentiate us in the US market. By combining innovation with a deep understanding of the US market, we can offer unparalleled solutions that drive success for our clients.

Having a presence and a team on the ground in the US will further strengthen our ability to meet the unique needs of our US clients. We will be able to build stronger relationships through personalised services – fostering better collaboration and innovation. I truly believe that the insights gained from opening doors in the US market will inform and enhance our worldwide strategies, ensuring that we stay at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.

What are you excited to do at The 10 Group?

Rachel: Joining The 10 Group means being part of a forward-thinking and innovative agency that truly values creativity and inclusivity. They are a powerhouse team who know how to build a story inside out. I’m eager to engage with the business’s established network and to continue to expand our client base here in the US. Understanding our clients’ business needs and positioning our solutions proactively will be our biggest key to success, and with such a competitive edge in Europe already, the future is bright. There is real opportunity here, and I look forward to leveraging our strengths to achieve significant growth to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

The 10 Group is proudly woman-owned and founded, with a majority-female board. What does female entrepreneurship mean to you?

Rachel: To me, female entrepreneurship embodies resilience, innovation, and empowerment. It’s about breaking down barriers and creating opportunities in industries traditionally dominated by men. I’m deeply passionate about seeking out and supporting female-led and run companies – it’s one of the things that drew me to The 10 Group. Being part of a woman-owned company is incredibly inspiring and aligns perfectly with my values. Female entrepreneurs have and will continue to be role models for me, showing that with determination and vision, women can lead and thrive in any industry.

Lastly, tell us more about your background and career history. What drives you in your professional life?
